Backstory

This was my attempt at predicting a future event by forcing it into existence. I was convinced that I would be able to coerce Patryk into posting a photo of this comic on Twitter, which would have been so many levels of self-reference it makes my mind explode. I use the conditional tense because of course it never happened. I think Patryk missed the whole point of it, actually.

Artist’s Notes

There’s a few details here that make me happy. First is Patryk’s profile picture, which is still spot-on even after 5 years. I also like the use of different media—markers, felt tips, fine liner, pencil—without it looking like a hot mess.
