How Marriage Proposals Work
Backstory
Aleix announced in the stand-up one morning that he was now engaged to be married. I was curious to know how he popped the question exactly. The traditional ring-on-one-knee approach? A banner flown behind a plane? A cheesy, elaborate lip-sync video? Well apparently none of these things, nor indeed anything tangible at all. He had merely had a conversation about marriage with his girlfriend, which she unilaterally took as an implicit and irrevocable proposal. Aleix seemed happy about the whole thing anyway.
Artist’s Notes
One of the little tips we were taught in the visual facilitation course that kickstarted this whole thing was to put pins or faux-tape on the corners of boxes. This was the first and last time I used this skeuomorphic touch.
